Tarte’s New Glowy Blush Wands Might Look Familiar, But They’re Absolutely Worth Trying

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, STYLECASTER may receive an affiliate commission.

When Tarte rolled out its Sculpt Tape Contour late last month, fans fell for the familiar packaging and next-level formula. Seriously, it blends out like a dream to contour and sculpt any and all parts of your face. Now, just a few weeks later, Tarte is back with glowy blush versions of this runaway hit: Tarte Blush Tape Liquid Glow Blush. It comes in three shades and probably looks familiar too, a lot like another blush wand that’s so popular.

We’re not calling Blush Tape a dupe, though. That’s mostly because it’s still on the pricey side, plus the liquid formulas do feel different. There’s room for everyone and everything in the beauty world. Tarte’s blush is a dewy mix of color and highlights with porcelain flower to brighten and hydrate, mango and shea butter to condition skin, licorice root to color correct, mineral pigments to soften the look of pores and texture, and diamond powder to blur imperfections.

Our mission at STYLECASTER is to bring style to the people, and we only feature products we think you’ll love as much as we do. QVC is a STYLECASTER sponsor, however, all products in this article were independently selected by our editors. Please note that if you purchase something by clicking on a link within this story, we may receive a small commission of the sale.

Blush Tape Liquid Glow Blush first debuted at QVC and we recommend grabbing your shade from there. That’s because it comes with a free Sculpting Brush you can use with either the blush or contour. The brush really helps you blend the formula up and out. It’s all about easy makeup this season and the Tarte hits just keep on coming.

I Tried Hero Cosmetics’ Brand-New Acne Patches—Here Are My Honest Thoughts & An Exclusive Promo Code

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, STYLECASTER may receive an affiliate commission.

I’m a pimple patch addict through and through, and by that, I mean I’m the type of person who regularly orders them in bulk from Amazon. I always need to have a pack on hand for when pesky blemishes show up on my face, but sometimes, the patches don’t seem to do much to my pimple when I remove the sticker the following morning. Luckily, acne patches have evolved. Some, like Hero Cosmetics’ new Mighty Patch Micropoint XL for Blemishes, have a bunch of tiny micro darts that deliver acne-fighting ingredients.

If you, too, have also noticed your hydrocolloid patches fading in effectiveness, it might be time to upgrade to the Micropoint XL for Blemishes. These ones are special in that they’re specifically made to go on top of early-stage blemishes. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve stuck hydrocolloid patches onto emerging spots and seen literally no changes the next day. Plus, Hero Cosmetics designed this product to work on small clusters of early-stage pimples. I tend to get them on my cheeks, chin and jawline, and I hate using several tiny patches. With the Micropoint XL for Blemishes, I only need one patch to cover the entire problem area.

Ju Rhyu, the co-founder and CEO of Hero Cosmetics, tells StyleCaster about what inspired her team to create this new product. She explains, “Our original Micropoint for Blemishes patches are great for single breakouts, but our community told us they wanted something with a larger surface for breakout clusters. We listened and created our Micropoint XL for Blemishes patches.”

Besides the acne patches being three times bigger than the regular Micropoint for Blemishes stickers, this fresh iteration is jam-packed with skin-loving ingredients. The 1,385 dissolving Micropoints are chock-full of salicylic acid, sodium hyaluronate, niacinamide and willow bark. Rhyu says, “We use salicylic acid to help unclog the pores that result in those underground breakouts. They also contain sodium hyaluronate, which is the carrier for the active ingredients but also super hydrates skin.”

On top of all that, niacinamide and willow bark calm and moisturize. “As you can see, we mix the active ingredient (salicylic acid) with a lot of gentle and soothing ingredients to ensure it’s effective on the problem but also kind on the skin,” she adds.

If you’re concerned about the patches potentially being too potent for your skin and further irritating it, trust me, you have nothing to worry about. The Micropoint XL for Blemishes is clinically tested, non-irritating and free from parabens, sulfates and fragrance. I’ve applied the patches several times now, and have experienced nothing but positive results. I’ve woken up to many early-stage blemishes looking and feeling much flatter. The patches stopped my spots before they even had a chance to truly surface on my face—and that, ladies and gents, is exactly what you want in a pimple patch. I remember once trying a similar product and hated how prickly the micro darts were and found that my skin just looked redder and more irritated after removing the patch. I can confidently say that I did not witness any of that with the Micrpoint XL for Blemishes. They’re pain-free and so much gentler on my skin.

I’m glad I’ve found a product that I can rely on to stop my blemishes in their tracks. However, there are times when I have zero self-control and pick at a pimple even though I know I shouldn’t. It happens to everyone. Thanks to Hero Cosmetics’ Micropoint for Dark Spots patches, there’s no need to sweat it. This version of the Mighty Patch targets dark spots like no other. With the help of niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, kojic acid, tranexamic acid and vitamin C, the patches brighten the skin post-blemish.

I’ve applied these acne patches a few times now and was seriously shocked the next morning. I put one on top of a really bad spot that was the result of popping a stubborn, deep pimple. I really thought there was no way anything could fade that mark, but boy was I wrong. The Micropoint for Blemishes lightened the area—overnight, might I add—and evened my skin tone.

But don’t let me gatekeep these gentle yet effective acne patches any longer. Shop the Micropoint XL for Blemishes, Micropoint for Blemishes and Micropoint for Dark Spots all online at Hero Cosmetics. Better yet, take 15 percent off of these three products with our exclusive promo code. Watch What Happens Live Fashion January 5, 2023

Eboni K. Williams’ green satin suit on Watch What Happens Live has been seen on many, many Real Housewives in a variety of colors and prints. Which in my mind, makes it a no brainer. Just like having Eboni as a guest.

The lawyer and former New York Housewives cast member is booked and busy with projects that include a new show Equal Justice and her new book Bet on Black: The Good New About Being Black in America. She also weighed in on Jen Shah’s case in addition to the new RHONY Cast, that she thinks is a good mix. Which is exciting news, because whether it comes to her opinions or fashion choices, they’re always a good bet to me.

Shoppers Say This $11 Gigi Hadid-Approved Concealer Makes Them Look ‘15 Years Younger’—& It’s 38% Off

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, STYLECASTER may receive an affiliate commission.

Concealers are the swiss army knives of makeup. They cover up dark circles, erase away redness, brighten dull skin, hide dark spots and blemishes, contour and more. That all sounds amazing, but when it comes time to pick your player, the endless options can seem overwhelming. However, there’s one, in particular, that has won over everyone on Amazon.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer is ranked No.1 in its category on Amazon and has over 118,000 perfect five-star ratings. We can’t say no to a good multi-use product, especially not when it’s loved by soooo many shoppers.

This concealer is on sale for up to 38 percent off right now; some of the shades will cost you under $7 a pop, which is an incredibly affordable price tag for any makeup product and also one of the lowest prices we’ve seen it at.

Not to mention, Maybelline brand ambassador Gigi Hadid used it in a Beauty Secrets video with Vogue. She applies the concealer under her eyes and lets it sit on her skin for a little while. After doing her brows, Gigi gently taps the cream into her skin. “Tapping keeps it from getting thinner and it keeps it from breaking up,” she explains in the video.

The supermodel isn’t the only Instant Age Rewind Concealer stan. “It completely removes bags under the eyes and dark circles. Lasts all day,” wrote one Amazon reviewer who summed up the product perfectly.

For up to 12 hours of medium, crease-resistant coverage, whip out your Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer. Its shades are up to 38 percent off at Amazon, which is even more of a reason to stock up on it, stat. Isn’t it just the best when you find a drugstore makeup product that works well and doesn’t cost a fortune? (You’re welcome.)

Just as how a concealer should cover dark circles and spots seamlessly, it should also moisturize and leave your skin feeling good. Luckily, the Instant Age Rewind Concealer uses goji berry and haloxyl to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and keep your skin looking radiant as ever.

The beloved formula is oil-free, fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, which is great news for all you oily and sensitive skin types. Plus, choose from one of the 18 different shades (you can even choose a color that’s darker than your complexion to contour). The sponge tip applicator also makes the product easy to apply with just a couple of clicks.

“The only place I have dark circles or shadows is right in that inside corner of the eyes. I put on some moisturizing sunscreen, then apply this miracle concealer—a generous swipe and follow-up dabs to cover that inside corner. I blend the area with my fingertip and look about 15 years younger RIGHT THERE,” one five-star reviewer shared.

I can confirm that the concealer is creamy and easy to blend, since I’ve been using it for ages. Though I don’t apply it under my eyes, I do disguise blemishes and acne scars with it and am always happy with the coverage.

“I have tried countless concealers for my under-eye circles—most of which cost triple the price of this one by the way,” explained one shopper. “It’s officially become my new favorite concealer. It’s not cakey, it blends easily, it doesn’t crease and it lasts all day.”

Well-rested, wide-awake, bright under-eyes are coming your way thanks to Maybelline’s $7 Instant Age Rewind Concealer. Your dark circles and spots no longer stand a chance.
