Easiest Foolproof Makeup Products for Beginners and Beyond (And Many Are Drugstore!)

Easiest Foolproof Makeup Products for Beginners and Beyond (And Many Are Drugstore!)

Whether you’re a pro at makeup, a beginner or somewhere in between, it’s wonderful to have makeup products on hand that you can count on to be quick, easy and foolproof to apply and which will guarantee a gorgeous look.

If I’m in a hurry but need to look my best, or if I don’t want to have to take the time to think about what products I’ll use that day, these are the products I automatically reach for that never fail me and which I highly recommend. And the last product I’ll be sharing with you today is a foolproof product to use at the end of your makeup routine to create a gorgeous finished look.

I don’t know about you, but if I come across a makeup product that I can make work, but which takes extra time to do so, that product will end up at the back of my makeup drawer. But all of the products I’ll share with you today are front and center in my makeup drawer because I know I can always count on them to help me feel and look my best since they apply easily and flawlessly. And many of these products are inexpensive drugstore options.

Foolproof Brow Products

Recently, I received an email from a 72-year-old woman who was thrilled that she’d discovered a brow product that worked perfectly for her, and it just so happens to be the first product I’m going to share with you today. It’s Elf’s Wow Brow.

Since many of us find our brows getting sparser, whiter or greyer – or all three – making our brows visible again so they frame our eyes can be an absolute game changer. If I want a quick and easy way to give my brows color and volume, Wow Brow is my solution since it has both color and built-in fibers that bring my brows back to life. In the video I fill in just one of my brows so you can see the incredible difference this product makes.

And to make sure I cover all those white and grey brows that seem to be taking over my brows, I’ll pull out my foolproof white and grey brow hair cover-up product from Maybelline – their Express Brow Fast Sculpt Gel Brow Mascara. All I have to do is simply touch those white and grey hairs with this product, and they’re visible once again.

Foolproof, Easy Eyeshadow

If you have hooded and small eyes like I do – or have given up on eye products due to all the changes your eyes have undergone, run – don’t walk – to your computer or nearest drugstore to pick up this product: Elf’s Mini Bite Size Eyeshadow palette in the shade “I Love You a Latte.”

The colors look beautiful on all of us, and it’s quick, easy and foolproof to apply. In the video, I demonstrate how easy this product makes eyeshadow application – and I apply it to just one eye so you can see what a difference this eyeshadow makes.

For eyeliner, I use a very skinny eyebrow brush to apply the darkest shade of eyeshadow from this mini palette. My no fail mascara application involves my eyelash curler and a wonderful clean beauty mascara from Tower 28.

Foolproof Face Makeup

Let’s move onto face makeup. Most of us have a challenge with our skin looking duller as we get older, so creating some beautiful soft glow can really help us look and feel more vibrant. If you have oily skin, I don’t recommend adding an additional product to create glow, but if you have dry skin like me or combination skin, please do give these easy, foolproof ways to create glow a try.

You can either use a glowy product as a face primer, mix it in with your foundation or add it on later. You’ll create the most glow if you add it into your foundation or apply it on top of your makeup. Here are the foolproof products I especially love and recommend. The first two are from the drugstore: Flower Beauty’s Supernova Celestial Skin Elixir, Colourpop’s Liquid Lite Glow Drops, the face primer from Kear Weis called The Beautiful Face Primer and NOOMI Stockholm’s Wild Blue Day and Night Facial Oil.

I’ll apply NOOMI Stockholm’s Wild Blue Day and Night Facial Oil on one side and the Kear Weis product on the other side as my face primers. But in the video, I swatch these other products so you can see what they look like and what the texture is like.

Contouring with makeup can help minimize the look of my jowls and give my face more definiton. But using contour can be tricky because we certainly don’t want to end up looking like we have dark stripes on our face. The secret to creating natural looking contour is to use one that is sheer and that applies and blends easily.

The two I’ve found that make contouring an absolute cinch are Westman Atelier’s stick contour in the shade “Biscuit” and the recently launched Makeup by Mario Softsculpt Multi-Use Bronzing and Shaping Serum which comes in 7 shades.

No Fuss Blush and Highlighter

There have been so many new blush products coming out over the past year and some formulas are definitely easier to work with – and more pigmented – than others. To ensure a foolproof application of blush, I recommend products that are lightweight and sheer. Here are four really good ones that fit this description: Georgio Armani’s Luminous Silk Cheek Tint, Makeup Artist Daniel Sandler’s Watercolor Liquid Cheek Colour, Tarte’s Blush Tape and Hard Candy’s Face off Luminous Liquid Blush.

The one I apply and share with you in today’s video is the least expensive blush and I absolutely love it. It’s Hard Candy’s Face Off Luminous Liquid Blush which comes in five shades. They are lovely and sheer and the applicator is designed to perfectly apply just a small amount which can be sheered out even further. In the video I combine two pink shades and then apply them so you can see how easily it blends into the skin to give a foolproof application.

Now just in case you might like to add a touch of highlighter – or, if you want some glow but don’t want to go the route of using a glowy product as a face primer or mixing a glowy product in with your foundation, just adding a touch of a foolproof glow product on the cheekbones can be beautiful.

You can certainly use the two products I used as face primer earlier to do this – the NOOMI Stockholm face oil or the Kear Weis Beautiful primer. And here are three other highlighters that are incredibly easy to use and which I particularly love: Tarte’s Face Tape Highlighter, the Day Glow Dewy Highlighting Balm from the clean beauty brand Merit and the highlighter from another clean beauty brand, RMS: their Magic Illuminator.

The Easiest Foolproof Touch of All

If you really want a foolproof, effortless way to add a gorgeous finishing touch at the end of your makeup routine, try this wonderful product from Tatcha: their “Luminous Dewy Skin Mist.”  I find the best way to use it is to spray it onto a dampened makeup sponge and then press it onto the areas of your face where you want to add some gorgeous glow.

What products do you have in your makeup drawer which are foolproof? What makeup product creates the biggest challenge for you and why?

Feeling Lazy? Try These Tips to Boost Productivity in Retirement

lazy in retirement

Retirement brings a wonderful sense of freedom from responsibilities and schedules. In retirement, we can make our own decisions about how to spend our time. After all, we earned the freedom of retirement by working hard for many years!

I love being retired, and I’m happy to lead the relaxed lifestyle of a retiree. But I also like to get stuff done. If I become too lazy and fail to accomplish my personal goals, I end up feeling like I’ve wasted valuable time and opportunities.

Therefore, I try to balance freedom and relaxation with a desire to be productive in retirement. I find that I’m happiest when I feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of each day. To do this, I’ve discovered a few strategies and tools to boost my productivity.

Maintain a Healthy Sleep Schedule

When you no longer have a job to report to every day, it’s easy to slip into habits that do not promote productivity in retirement.

Stay up until 3:00 a.m. to finish that fascinating novel? Sure, no problem. Watch another episode in that Netflix series? Yeah, why not? You can always sleep late on days when you need to catch up on your sleep. Right? Well… wrong.

The problem with varying your sleep schedule is that it can lead to poor performance on physical and mental tasks. Studies show that maintaining a consistent sleep schedule leads to healthy outcomes.

As a general guideline, you should get 7-8 hours of sleep each night. Aim for going to bed and waking up at the same times every day and avoid taking naps after 3:00 p.m. By staying on schedule, you’ll get more restful and restorative, high-quality sleep.

Studies show that lack of sleep is related to high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, and lowered immunity. Additionally, lack of quality sleep leads to poor performance on mental tasks, making you feel mentally sluggish or foggy. Your mood can be negatively affected by not getting enough sleep, too, making you feel cranky or irritable.

These negative effects of insufficient sleep can prevent you from maintaining productivity. So, start with a good night’s sleep to enjoy good mental and physical health. Good health paves the way for a more productive lifestyle.

Get Outdoors

If you want to boost your physical and mental energy to become more productive in retirement, simply step outside your door! Even better, get out into open green spaces with fresh air and sunshine.

Studies reported by Yale School of the Environment reveal that getting out in nature at least two hours per week can enhance your physical health and emotional well-being. Time spent in nature can help to lower your blood pressure, enhance your immune system, lift your mood, and help you feel calmer. These positive effects can naturally lead to a more productive lifestyle.

Even if you can’t get outdoors, you can use elements of nature to promote productivity. Bring nature into your workspace at home with plants and water. Researchers find that these elements have a positive effect on your brain function and therefore increase productivity.

Use Technology

Although there’s nothing wrong with paper-and-pencil lists and calendars, I find that technology offers advantages in time-saving efficiency. Utilize apps on phones, tablets, and computers to improve your productivity.

Link your electronic calendar on all your devices. Use it for appointments, reminders, and personal planning. Additionally, you can use an app such as Notes for grocery lists and daily to-do lists. Voice memo apps allow you to quickly record to-do lists and reminders.

Speaking of to-do lists, you may want to check out the many productivity apps available for Android or Apple devices. Apps such as Todoist, TickTick, and Microsoft To Do offer convenient features to keep you on track with all your tasks, appointments, and goals.

Use technology to decrease the time it takes for simple administrative chores. Set up electronic delivery of vital information along with electronic file storage. Additionally, you can set up automatic bill-pay to save time spent on personal finances.

Plan Ahead and Save Time

Now that you’re retired, you can plan your schedule to avoid wasting time. That time can be put to good use in ways that make you more productive.

Schedule errands when most people are at work. You can get in and out of the gym, grocery store, or nail salon more quickly during non-busy hours on weekdays.

Avoid the slow traffic that occurs during peak commuting times. Plan your travel and driving time for non-peak hours when traffic density is low. You’ll get to your destination more quickly.

The same principle applies to dining out or meeting a friend for coffee. We’re all familiar with old jokes about seniors frequenting the early bird dinner buffets. But it’s true that we can save time by scheduling lunches, dinners, and social engagements when most people are at work.

Take advantage of time-saving strategies to be productive in accomplishing the goals that you value. When you save time on daily chores and errands, you can put that time into productive activities that you enjoy.

Best Time to Be Productive

At what time of day are you most productive? Maybe you’re a night owl, or maybe you’re the early bird who catches that proverbial worm. Either way, you can maximize your productivity by working on projects when you’re most energetic.

Consider your physical energy peaks as well as mental energy peaks. Then schedule your chores and projects accordingly.

For example, I can do my best yardwork or heavy house-cleaning early in the morning when I have the most physical energy. On the other hand, I’m able to accomplish light household chores in the late afternoon or early evening.

When it comes to tasks that require mental energy (like writing a blog post), I’m at my best around mid-morning, up until lunchtime.

Best Place to Be Productive

Similarly, you can determine your optimal environment for productivity. Do you need totally quiet surroundings to concentrate? Or, do you like to have the sound of a TV, radio, or music in the background?

Are you most productive when you’re alone? Or, do you find your productivity is enhanced when you seek to engage with others?

In retirement, you probably spend much of your time at home. Experiment with different settings in your home that help you to maximize your mental and physical productivity.

Do you like to work in an area of the house where you can get away from the rest of the family? Or, do prefer to work on projects in the company of others? Can you set up a dedicated space to work on craft projects? Perhaps you can create a quiet nook for working on finances or performing research online.

Use your imagination and try out different spaces in your home to find the best environment that boosts your productivity.

Let’s Have a Conversation:

Are you retired? How does it feel to have so much free time? Have you noticed becoming lazy? Have you found ways to maintain productivity in retirement? What works for you? Let’s have a conversation. Please drop a comment in the section below.

6 Book Club Picks

6 Book Club Picks

Book clubs – both online and in person – offer camaraderie, thought-provoking discussions, and introductions to authors and books we might not otherwise discover.

My online book group came together during the pandemic. For the past several years, every six weeks-ish, a dozen ladies join together on Zoom to discuss our chosen book and share what else we’ve read (and watched!) lately.

From Kansas, California, New York, New Zealand, and beyond, our tight-knit group has supported and encouraged each other through illnesses, travels, weddings, the births of many grandchildren, and the highs and lows of living life post-60. We learn from the books we read – and each other.

The following novels – and one non-fiction book – make great book club choices!

The Tobacco Wives by Adele Myers

Calling all historical fiction fans! And those readers who remember when cigarette advertising laws in the United States were forced to change. With its mountain of positive reviews and praise, I can’t understand why it took me so long to read this gem.

Bright Leaf, North Carolina is tobacco country. Although World War II was ending and the men would soon return, the local women still operated the machines in the town’s tobacco plant.

When Maddie’s mother plops her with Aunt Etta, Maddie plans to spend the summer assisting her beloved aunt with her dressmaking business. Together, they’d fashion glamorous gala outfits for the tobacco executives’ wives.

Her summer doesn’t go quite as Maddie expected… Although she creates gorgeous gowns and hats for the tobacco wives, she also discovers jarring secrets about the cigarette industry. She is at the forefront of women fighting for their rights in the workplace.

Based on what we now know, it’s incredible to realize doctors once recommended that pregnant women smoke cigarettes to ease their nerves and frustrations. Myers’ debut novel is entertaining, engaging, and informative. I enjoyed learning a slice of history that took place not all that long ago.

Do the Next New Thing by Pamela Lamp

True confession – I am the author of this book. This quick-paced read is the story of what we might do when we don’t know what to do next.

Many of us have been there. Because of life changes – kids are grown and gone, divorce, relocation, retirement, death, health issues – we ponder what’s next and try to determine a direction for our lives. We’re often stuck – wanting to do something but not knowing what that something is.

And how do you figure it out?

Like many Personal Growth or Self-Help books, this one is not “preachy.” It shares the tale of my steps to making friends, building community, and finding a purpose and passion for the rest of my life.

It worked for me. It can work for anyone.

Book club discussion questions are available on my website, and I am happily available for Zoom visits.

Husbands and Lovers by Beatriz Williams

Although classified as historical fiction, this novel read more like a romance to me – and one I could not put down!

Mystic, Connecticut, 2022. Mallory learns her 10-year-old son ate a toxic death cap mushroom at summer camp. Airlifted to the hospital and fighting for his life, Sam must face dialysis and regimented activities. Three years later, Mallory searches for a donor kidney that will give Sam the chance to have a more normal childhood.

Mallory’s search leads her to Monk, her childhood buddy and now a music superstar.

For some readers, the novel may include a bit too much flip-flopping between timelines. I was occasionally confused, but since I loved the characters, I persevered. Confession – I preferred the present-day timeline. Although interesting, I didn’t feel the Egypt timeline added much to the story.

The House on Cold Creek Lane by Liz Alterman

“OK, this is so much bigger than Pinot Grigio. We’re going straight to scotch.”

When Laurel was 12, her mom was murdered. Days before Christmas. She’s tiptoed through life on eggshells ever since, always a little skittish, restless, and skeptical. Her husband, Rob, the eternal optimist, views the world – and everyone in it – as one big, happy opportunity.

Rob snaps up their new home on Cold Creek Lane without Laurel touring it. Despite languishing on the market with no buyer interest, he thinks the house will be the perfect place to settle down and raise their family.

I zipped through Liz Alterman’s latest thriller, with all its twists and turns and broken characters with their issues and dark sides. Don’t we all have those dark moments in our lives? Attempting to protect our children or spouses or parents or ourselves, we don’t recognize who we’ve become. We step back and wonder, What in the world am I doing?

Liz, who has won awards for her young adult fiction, is a master at seamlessly weaving storylines and keeping readers guessing until the bitter end. The book includes questions for group discussions, and Liz is available to meet with book clubs via Zoom.

How fun would THAT be to discuss this novel or her 2022 book, The Perfect Neighborhood, with this author?!

The Princess of Las Vegas by Chris Bohjalian

Chris Bohjalian – of The Flight Attendant and The Lioness fame – writes novels that my husband and I both enjoy. We read his smartly crafted books simultaneously, exchange opinions, and compare notes. His latest, set on the Vegas strip, is another thriller with a sharp, twisty plot line.

Two look-alike sisters grew up in a small town in Vermont. Crissy lands in Las Vegas, impersonating Princess Diana in a musical cabaret at Buckingham Palace, a casino that’s seen better days. (Stay with me here!) Betsy, her teenage daughter, and Betsy’s seemingly successful boyfriend move to Vegas to begin fresh lives in the cryptocurrency business.

When acquaintances and colleagues begin turning up dead, Crissy’s and Betsy’s worlds are both flipped upside down. A riveting romp into Las Vegas, organized crime, cryptocurrency, and family secrets.

The Caretaker by Ron Rash

But to love a person enough that you’d want them to love someone else instead of you – that’s hard.”

A huge thank you to bestselling author Fiona Davis for putting this gem on my radar. A gripping, tender tale of the lengths some parents might go to determine what’s best for their child.

It’s 1951 in Blowing Rock, a North Carolina town at the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Blackburn, a societal outcast due to polio deformities, is the caretaker of a cemetery. 16-year-old Naomi, also an outsider and a hotel maid, elopes with Blackburn’s only friend, Jacob. Despite his influential and wealthy parents’ threats and wishes for him to marry “proper” and attend college, Jacob leaves home to serve in the Korean War. Disinherited, Jacob asks Blackburn to look after his pregnant wife while he is away.

The perfect book club pick!

Happy reading!

“When Is the Right Time to Sell My Business”?

“When Is the Right Time to Sell My Business”

This is a common and understandable question I receive from business owners. The answer is both objective and subjective. Let’s dive in and see if I can help you determine when is (or will be) the right time for you. There are five questions to consider.

Is Your Business Revenue and Profit on an Upward Trend?

Potential buyers want to see a healthy business as they consider taking over. The heartbeat of a business is revenue and profit growth. If your business has been growing year over year in both categories for three years, then your business is ready to sell according to this indicator.

Is the Estimated Exit Value of Your Business What You Want It to Be?

Your business is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, but you can get an idea of the value of your business from an independent business valuation expert. A business valuation will cost you $2,500 to $5,000 depending on the complexity of your business. You’ll need to go through this step after you formally start to exit your business.

However, you can get a rough estimate of the value of your business by investigating what other businesses like yours have sold for, asking a trade association for input or consulting with an independent business exit coach.

Note: please don’t ask a business broker for an estimate. Business brokers will tell you what they think you want to hear to sign you up for their services. They are not reliable.

Once you know the estimated sale value of your business, you can determine if this value is what you want and proceed. If the current value is acceptable to you, then you are ready to start the formal exit journey.

Read, How Much Is My Business Worth?

Is Your Business Organized So Someone Else Can Run It?

By “organized” I mean are your books and records current? Are your systems updated and documented? Do you have current job descriptions for employees? Are your contracts current? Can you locate your lease documents? Are your insurance policies up to date?

A potential buyer wants to be able to step in and continue operating your business with as little disruption as possible. Look at your business from a potential buyer’s perspective. Can you provide all the information she needs to evaluate it in a day? If the answer is “yes,” you’re ready to exit; if not, then you have more work to do.

Are You Still Motivated to Own Your Business?

If you’re still motivated to own and run your business, then you’re not ready to exit it. The reasons for hanging on to your business can be emotional, practical, financial or a combination of these. For example, if you still have your identity tied up in the business, if you ‘ll regret exiting for whatever reason, or if you’re attached in some other way, then you’re not ready.

Be honest with yourself in answering this question. Your happiness, health and self-worth are at stake and it’s almost as bad selling a business too soon as waiting too long to exit. Only you can answer this question so let’s be honest, are you ready to step away?

Do You Have a Clear Idea of What Is Next for You?

This is a key point Julie Keyes, a colleague and wonderful and experienced business exit coach, stresses. I agree with her and the field of positive psychology supports the need to have a clear and vivid picture of the future to make a change. You need to have a specific idea of what your life will be like when you’re no longer connected to your business to exit it effectively. If you can’t wait to start the next phase of your life, if you would start on the next steps tomorrow if you could, then you’re ready.

Conclusion

If you can answer “yes” to these five questions, you’re probably ready to sell your business now. If not, then you have some work to do to get ready to exit your business. To get ready, reflect on each of these questions and determine what you would need to change to answer a resounding “YES!” Ask for help if you need it but get started now.

Questions for You:

Are there any other questions you believe a business owner should ask herself before starting the process to exit a business? How would you rank the questions in terms of what’s most important to you? Please make a comment below or ask me a question about the five questions – or any other aspect of a business exit – and I’m happy to answer. Thank you.

Eternally Preppy: My Love Affair with Ralph Lauren

The Timeless Elegance of Ralph Lauren A Must-Have for Stylish Mature Women

I don’t usually write a love story to a man I have never met, but Ralph Lauren has been my crush for decades. I can’t help myself. Let me share with you some things that keep that love story alive.

Like many women, I’ve experimented with different looks and designers, but I always return to Ralph Lauren. His preppy look, exemplified by his iconic polo shirts and tailored blazers, is my go-to style. I made my first purchase as a teen, and even then, I could see that Ralph Lauren was more than just a label. It was a lifestyle brand that epitomized classic American style that transcended age and trends. I’ve been a fan ever since.

Fashion Style for All Ages

Moreover, as time has passed, I’ve found that his fashions look just as good on 60-somethings as on younger women. It’s clear that Ralph Lauren designs with more than one demographic in mind, avoiding overly trendy pieces that are ruffly, sheer, skimpy, or simply too “girly.” With Lauren, you’ll never risk looking like you raided your daughter’s closet.

Looking to add a few new pieces to my summer wardrobe, I recently stopped into the newly renovated Ralph Lauren department of my local Macy’s in Manhasset, New York. The shelves and display tables were brimming with items (in regular and petite sizes) in cheerful colors and floral prints – so big this season.

There were cotton slacks and jeans in lightweight denim, linen tops, and brightly colored button-downs. Rounding out the summer styles were halter tops and breezy dresses. Best of all, some of these stylish, high-quality pieces were already on sale at a whopping 30-40% off.

One of my purchases that day was a blue and white patchwork button-down blouse in soft cotton. It’s a versatile blouse that will take me well into fall. I also purchased a sleeveless pointelle knit top in a color called winter cream. And I couldn’t resist buying a pair of patched jeans in the palest blue denim – a fun summertime splurge – that adds a playful touch to my wardrobe.

While shopping, I chatted with Elizabeth Heins, a brand manager for Ralph Lauren, about Lauren’s appeal to the mature woman. “What keeps them coming back?” I asked. She cited the powerful role of nostalgia, noting that the classic pieces, with their tried and true fit and quality, updated seasonally with a modern twist, evoke a strong sense of connection and sentimentality.

Key Pieces for a Timeless Wardrobe

Tailored Blazers

A well-fitted blazer can elevate any outfit. Ralph Lauren’s blazers, with their impeccable tailoring and quality fabrics, are a staple essential for any polished wardrobe. I have several in black (single and double-breasted) and a blue nautical-inspired blazer. Worn with a tee or button-down shirt – depending on the season – a blazer can take you anywhere. At this time of year, I get a lot of use out of my light gray linen jacket, which has served me well for 10 summers and counting.

Button-Down Shirts

Crisp, white button-down shirts are a must-have. They are the quintessential wardrobe item staple. Dressed up with a skirt or slacks, or down with a pair of jeans, they offer endless styling possibilities. For summer, the racks were filled with lightweight cotton and linen button-downs in vivid colors, offering a comfortable and relaxed feel. Roll up the sleeves for an effortless, laid-back summer look, perfect for enjoying a casual summer day.

Jeans

You can easily build an entire wardrobe around RL jeans, pairing them with a blazer, polo shirt, button down, or sweater. Designed to comfortably fit and flatter, no matter a woman’s size and shape, these jeans come in a wide variety of styles and colors: straight-leg, cropped, mid-rise, high-rise, boot cut, vintage and skinny jeans. Bea Ozcayir, a merchandiser rotator for Ralph Lauren at the store, told me that the company’s “mid-rise jeans are one of our best sellers,” adding that “the colors don’t fade.”

The Sweater Set

From cable-knit pullover sweaters to cashmere cable-knit cardigans, Lauren’s knitwear is cozy and contemporary. These pieces are perfect for layering and add a touch of luxury to everyday outfits. Short-sleeve lightweight knits in pastels, floral prints, and bold colors of gold, teal, and royal blue abound for summer, as do soft cream-colored hues.

Elegant Dresses

Whether you’re looking for a casual dress for everyday wear, something dressier for a night out, or a special occasion dress, Lauren has got you covered. Choices include the classic little black dress, a shirtdress, or a flowing maxi dress, you’ll find something to suit your needs. My RL black sheath, a personal favorite, has served me well over the years and has been as appropriate at a funeral as at a wedding.

Embracing the Ralph Lauren Style

Color, Patterns and Lauren’s Signature Logo

Lauren is known for using classic neutrals like navy, white, and black in his designs, but he also incorporates vibrant colors and patterns such as stripes, plaids, and florals – a big part of RL’s summer collection. These patterns can add interest and depth to your outfits. The Ralph Lauren signature logo, too, is part of the brand’s aesthetic. No matter their age, “it makes people feel well-dressed,” Ozcayir remarked.

Incorporating Accessories and Equestrian Elements

Ralph Lauren often draws inspiration from the equestrian world – think leather belts, scarves, hats and boots. Not just for the horsey set, these accessories can add a unique edge to any outfit and are ideal for pairing with jeans.

By investing in these pieces, and embracing color and patterns, women of all ages can create a chic and versatile wardrobe that stands the test of time. Lauren himself has said in interviews, “I believe in clothes that last, that are not dated.”

What Do You Think?

Are you a Ralph Lauren fan? Since when have you adapted the style he offers? If you haven’t worn anything RL, would you give it a try? Do you think style can be ageless? In what ways?
